Welcome to West Muskingum Schools!
We are excited to have your family join the Tornado community. If you are enrolling a new student, you can begin the process by downloading the Consent for Student Records Release, Student Enrollment form, and the Home Language Survey. (Forms can be completed electronically, however, they must be saved, downloaded and printed once they are completed.) Registration must be completed by the parent or legal guardian at the student's building of attendance. Documentation of the following will also be required:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Proof of residency (utility bill, cable bill, etc.)
- Parent/Legal Guardian photo ID
- Divorce/Custody papers (if applicable)
- Current IEP/ETR/504 Plan (if applicable)
- Residency verification (if applicable)

Kindergarten Registration for 2019-2020
Children who will be five years old on or before July 31, 2019, are eligible to register for kindergarten at West Muskingum Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year. For more information call the elementary at 740-455-4058. Registration packets are available at the administration center Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during summer break.
(Children who will not be five on or before July 31, can be evaluated for possible early entrance to kindergarten. Evaluations must be scheduled through the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center by calling 740-452-4518.)
Families living outside of the West Muskingum School District must first submit an Open Enrollment application and return it to the administration center at 4880 West Pike. The application for the 2019-2020 school year is available by clicking on the link under Forms.
West Muskingum Elementary School houses two preschools, which are operated by the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center. Children who are age three and four as of August 1, are eligible to apply for enrollment. Classes are held four full days per week, Tuesday – Friday, based on the district/building calendar. Flexibility is available to allow families to set part-time schedules upon request. An income-based sliding fee scale is utilized to determine tuition costs. Transportation is usually available through the school district.
