Welcome to West Muskingum Schools!
We are excited to have your family join the Tornado community. If you are enrolling a new student, you can begin the process by completing the Student Enrollment form, Consent for Student Records Release, and Home Language Survey. (Forms can be completed electronically, however, they must be saved, downloaded as a PDF and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org once they are completed.) Registration must be completed by the parent or legal guardian. You will be asked to provide documentation of the following later in the enrollment process:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Proof of residency (utility bill, cable bill, etc.)
- Parent/Legal Guardian photo ID
- Divorce/Custody papers (if applicable)
- Current IEP/ETR/504 Plan (if applicable)
- Residency verification (if applicable)

Kindergarten Registration for 2020-2021
Children who will be five years old on or before July 31, 2020, are eligible to register for kindergarten at West Muskingum Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. Registration must be completed by the parent or legal guardian. Click on Student Enrollment under forms to submit your registration online.
(Children who will not be five on or before July 31, can be evaluated for possible early entrance to kindergarten. Evaluations must be scheduled through the Licking County Educational Service Center by calling (740) 349-6084.
Families living outside of the West Muskingum School District interested in enrolling their student, must first submit an Open Enrollment application. The 2020-2021 application is now available for any new students. Click on the link under forms to submit your application online. One application per student is required.
West Muskingum Elementary School houses two preschools, which are operated by the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center. Children who are age three and four as of August 1, are eligible to apply for enrollment. Beginning the 2020-21 school year, classes will be two full days per week, based on the district/building calendar. Flexibility is available to allow families to set part-time schedules upon request. An income-based sliding fee scale is utilized to determine tuition costs. Transportation is usually available through the school district.
