FAQ summer work

Email your questions to jshawger@laca.org

Q.  What is They Say, I Say?

A. Way back in May when I gave out the materials, I mentioned there was an error.  They Say, I Say is a book we will be using and it used to be part of the summer assignments.  So ignore that it says use They Say, I Say.  Just write a summary.

Q. What do I do for the analyzing style activity on page 37 of The Language of Composition?

A. Y
ou are just answering the bulleted questions for the essay on page 36; read the essay on page 36; then answer the bulleted questions for it.

Q.  What do I do if a documentary is no longer available for free or has disappeared?

A.  Locate another documentary on a similar topic and watch it instead, being sure to at least include the title (year and director if available).   It looks like Rosie: Stories from the Homefront is now only available for a fee on Vimeo.  Here are a couple of other options to watch instead of it.
